Dine syv SPECIAL stats går fra 1 til 10 og 5 er gennemsnit for et normalt sundt menneske. Når du prøver at gøre noget ruller du 2D6, lægger en af dine syv stats til og sammenligner resultatet med Target Number (TN). Hvis du for lig med eller over TN har du en succes – hvor meget over du kommer fortæller hvor godt du klarede dit forsøg.

Strength
- Adds to melee and unarmed.
- Determines how many slots of inventory the character can carry.

Perception
- Adds to energy weapons, explosives and lockpick.

Endurance
- Adds to survival
- Used to resist certain types of damage, such as radiation, hunger and fatigue.

Charisma
- Adds to barter and speak.

Intelligence
- Adds to medicine, repair and science.

Agility
- Adds to guns and sneak.
- Used to dodge attacks.

Luck
- Doesn’t add to skills.
- Determines the number of luck points.
- Luck points can be used to add 1d6 to a test or to make minor changes to story (which requires that the GM approves)
- You regain a luck point by accepting a challenge from the GM. If you complete a goal, you regain all luck point.

A SPECIAL of 5 is considered average for a normal human.
A SPECIAL of 3 or less is considered quite low, and invites the GM to tease the character.
